Good math students use great strategies. These games develop conceptual understanding with whole numbers and fractions, and are the key to strong computational skills.
BreakApart builds good number sense and strong mental math skills. Funny Numbers teaches kids important regrouping strategies. Place Value builds a strong foundation in our Base 10 number system. Standard Algorithms makes kids faster and more efficient with computations. Satisfraction™ teaches the strategies and concepts that make fractions easy.
step 2: Practice
Practice is the key to mastery and fun is the key to practice. These games develop the foundational skills and automaticity with facts kids need to excel at and enjoy math.
Math Limbo teaches kids to decompose numbers rather than count on their fingers. Numskill develops automaticity with basic addition facts to 10 and then to 20. Missing develops fact fluency and flexible thinking skills.
step 3: Apply
Mastery means being able to apply strategies quickly and effortlessly. These games require kids to combine and apply their number sense, strategies and mental math skills
to successfully solve hundreds and thousands of problems. Being good at math requires lots of practice, practice and more practice.
Kakooma™ sharpens computational skills with both whole number and fractions. Expresso teaches order of operations while developing strong mental math skills.
step 4: Enjoy
Greg Tang Math isn't just fun and games. It's books too! We've added animation and interactivity to Greg's widely-acclaimed books and have turned them into dynamic and engaging math-literature activities.
